Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
